This past weekend, Brittney Griner of the Baylor Lady Bears women’s basketball team became the sole holder of the collegiate blocks record. Those 665 blocks put her ahead of Louella Tomlinson who played for St. Mary’s (CA) from 2007 to 2011. And it sits her well atop the men’s record of 564 which was set by Jarvis Varnado of Mississippi State in 2010.
