For the third time in four years, the Alabama Crimson Tide are once again the BCS National Champions in college football. In a clear rout, the Crimson Tide cruised to a 42-14 victory over the previously undefeated Notre Dame Fighting Irish.
Though I sincerely believe the Pac-12 doesn’t get nearly the respect they deserve in football, I do believe the SEC-honed Alabama Crimson Tide were clearly better than the Fighting Irish yesterday. And for the seventh straight year, the SEC hoisted the National Champ trophy. Now I’m ready to see a playoff because I truly believe the Irish would have been gone before the title game had there been a playoff. Oh well, I’ll get my wish in the 2014 season.
