The Miami Heat announced that x-rays revealed LeBron James suffered a broken nose in last night’s game versus the Oklahoma City Thunder. He is a game-time decision vs the Chicago Bulls on Sunday.
James suffered the injury in the fourth quarter when Serge Ibaka hit him in the face as he LeBron went up for a shot. The hit didn’t appear to be that serious yet James was knocked to the ground with blood quickly gushing everywhere.
This wouldn’t be the first time James has had to play through a facial injury. Back in 2004, a hit to the face by Dikembe Mutombo left the budding star with a broken bone in his face. He wore a mask for a while, and it is likely he would do the same this time around.
