So far, it has been a wild ride in the world of NBA free agency. The most notable moves so far have involved two players pushing 40 – Steve Nash and Jason Kidd. Nash, who had been with the Phoenix Suns for years after his time with the Dallas Mavericks, was dealt to the Suns’ division rivals, the Los Angeles Lakers. The second surprise was the decision by guard Jason Kidd to agree to sign (can’t sign until July 11th) a 3 year deal with the New York Knicks. This one definitely took everyone by surprise. Especially with the Knicks still deciding what to do with newfound guard Jeremy Lin, who himself is a restricted free agent.
Other notable moves:
Brandon Roy to the Minnesota Timberwolves
Jamal Crawford to the Los Angeles Clippers
Lamar Odom to the Los Angeles Clippers
Omer Asik to the Houston Rockets
