Noah Named Defensive Player of the Year


Chicago Bulls center Joakim Noah was named 2013-14 NBA Defensive Player of the Year.

In a news conference Monday afternoon, Noah thanked his coach Tom Thibodeau as well as his mentor, Tyrone Green who passed away last week.

Noah averaged 12.6 points, 11.3 rebounds, and 5.4 assists while having the best season of his career this year. ┬áThe Chicago Bulls are in the midst of their first round playoff series versus the Washington Wizards in large part thanks to Noah’s defensive heart.
