Wichita State ended their regular season with win over Missouri State. The win marks their 31st straight this season, marking a perfect 2013-14 regular season campaign for the Shockers.
Win number 31 was fairly easy for the Shockers, as quite a few have been this season. Though they made it a great game in January, Missouri State couldn’t get closer than 20 points down for most of the game.
This is the longest streak since UNLV went 34-0 in 1991 before eventually losing the national title game. This is also the best start by a Missouri Valley team since Larry Bird’s Indiana State squad won their first 33 games before losing to the Magic Johnson-led Michigan State Spartans in 1979.
The Shockers haven’t lost a game since last season’s Final Four where they fell to eventual champ Louisville.
