Donald Driver Retirement 13113

In an interview with ESPN Radio’s “Mike and Mike in the Morning”, Green Bay Packers wide receiver let the world know he would be retiring after 14 seasons in the NFL.

Driver stated, “I’m going to officially put the cleats on the shelf. I’m going to walk away from the game.”

A formal announcement will come February 6th at a press conference scheduled by the Green Bay Packers organization.  Fans are invited to attend the event, and tickets will be handed out free of charge.

Donald Driver, the all-time Packers’ leader in receptions and yards, has spent his entire career with the organization.  Only Brett Favre spent more time in a Packers uniform.

Driver made it clear that he is ready to spend more time with his wife and children.

“Someone is always going to be able to tell my kids their dad was a great football player.  But no one will be able to them their dad was a great dad and a great husband, so I have to be able to show them that.”
